a bit about me

Hi, and welcome to my blog! Thanks for taking the time to browse around, I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve found.

My name is Jo, I’m a thirty something Australian with a big love of writing. It’s my (unofficial) therapy. You’ll find all manner of musings and such on my blog. My interests are wide and varied, and I’ll be blogging across topics such as childcare, discipline, health and wellness, philosophy, funnies, and general nothingness too… Just pick a topic you want to find more information on, and hopefully there’s something helpful there.

I currently work as PA, research assistant and part-time writer for Sarah Wilson.
I also work as a part-time nanny and executive assistant for Marina Prior and various other clients.
I have a degree in education, a diploma in leadership, and have worked in childcare for over 20 years.

If you’re after some freelance writing, email me at jo.foster1@me.com I’d love to hear from you.
Also, if you have any tips, suggestions, corrections regarding my site, please feel free to contact me.

  2. this is just a fabulous about me page. it’s written from a place that’s brimming with happiness, a true love of life.

i particularly love your closing line…

“i love my life… and i love that i get to live it!”

a mantra i’m trying to bring into my everyday thinking.

    ~x~

  3. Hi Jo, I just have to say I absolutely love your blog!! I’ve been scrolling through your posts all morning (instead of essaying like I should…) and they are wonderful!
    Thank you so much!

  4. I’m recovering from depression and a suicide attempt and have been looking for positive blogs to read. I am loving this blog a lot. Thank you. x

  5. Hello Jo (& @ ‘fenderforever’- you’re right) it is the most awesome ‘about me’. I follow you on twitter and love your photos on instagram, I have just found your blog and now writing this I feel like your number one stalker! Just thought I would make a comment on how wonderful I think your zest for life is – continue to love your journey – you’re rockin’ it girl. X

  6. I have just read your article “Hold Lightly”& I just wanted to say that I can totally relate to what you are saying. I have gone through life holding as tightly as possible to the things I have loved & never realised that I was my own worst enemy (I am a Scorpio / Sagittarius Cusp with abandonment issues) – How is that for a “train wreck” waiting to happen? I have been single for around six years now (not by choice) & I’ve found it really difficult at times to “fly solo” but I’m getting better at it & at age 59 yrs, I hope I can learn what ever “life lessons” I need to, so I can find my inner peace. Your “Hold Lightly” article has given me inspiration – Thank you, Zoe`
